Overview
Senior geotechnical leadership role in a top engineering consultancy in Central London. You will drive project delivery from inception to completion, provide technical oversight across ground engineering, and skilfully manage client relationships to support growth. The role combines technical excellence with people leadership, mentoring, and bid/tender involvement to shape outcomes on a varied project portfolio. You will work with cross‑disciplinary teams to deliver practical geotechnical solutions, within budgets and timelines. Responsibilities
- Lead geotechnical projects from inception through completion
- Provide technical input and oversight across ground engineering projects
- Manage and develop client relationships to support business growth
- Review and oversee geotechnical reports, designs and deliverables
- Mentor and develop junior and senior team members
- Support project bids, proposals and business development
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors and consultants to deliver solutions
- Oversee project budgets, programmes and delivery
Key requirements
- Significant experience in geotechnical engineering consultancy
- Strong technical background across ground investigation, design and assessment
- Experience managing projects and client relationships
- Experience mentoring or managing engineers
- Strong communication and commercial skills
- Chartered status with ICE or working towards it
