As a small to medium-sized practice, they work across a wide range of projects including residential extensions, structural alterations, historic buildings, and small to medium-scale developments. This role would suit a well-rounded engineer who enjoys working closely with clients, taking ownership of projects, and being involved in both design and structural surveys. Key Responsibilities of this Senior Structural Engineer role;Lead and manage a variety of structural engineering projects from concept through to completion. Design structural solutions using materials including masonry, steel, and timber. Deliver designs for residential and domestic projects, including extensions, loft conversions, and structural alterations such as steel beam installations. Carry out structural inspections and site surveys. Prepare clear structural reports and technical assessments for clients, architects, and contractors. Requirements for this Senior Structural Engineer role;Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or related discipline).Several years' experience working in a UK-based structural engineering consultancy. Strong experience with residential and domestic projects including extensions and structural alterations. Knowledge and practical design experience using masonry, steel, and timber. Experience carrying out structural surveys and producing professional reports. Good working knowledge of relevant UK building regulations and design standards.
