A respected UK consultancy with a long track record in civil, structural, and environmental engineering is expanding their ground investigation team and looking for an experienced Lead Driller. What the Lead Driller will do:

  • Operate and maintain drilling and sampling rigs, including window sampling and dynamic probing equipment.
  • Collect accurate soil and groundwater samples in accordance with industry standards.
  • Record site data, sample depths, and ground conditions clearly and precisely.
  • Carry out daily safety checks and basic maintenance on rigs.
  • Work closely with technical staff to deliver projects safely and efficiently.
  • Be willing to travel and stay away from home when required (expenses paid).

What you’ll need to be considered for the Lead Driller role:

  • Proven track record in geotechnical or environmental drilling.
  • CSCS card (essential).
  • NVQ Level 2 in Land Drilling or equivalent (preferred).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Commitment to safe working.
