This is an excellent opportunity for an Asbestos Laboratory Analyst looking to join a respected consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality asbestos testing services.
Working within a modern laboratory environment, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate identification of asbestos-containing materials while benefiting from structured training, supportive management, and long-term career progression.
THE ROLE
As an Asbestos Laboratory Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing asbestos bulk samples using polarised light microscopy (PLM) in accordance with HSG248 and UKAS procedures. Working as part of an experienced laboratory team, you will process samples efficiently, maintain accurate records, and ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analysing asbestos bulk samples using polarised light microscopy (PLM)
- Identifying asbestos fibre types in accordance with HSG248 guidance
- Recording and reporting analytical findings accurately
- Processing samples within agreed turnaround times
- Maintaining laboratory equipment
