This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Ecologist to join a supportive team and gain exposure to a varied portfolio of projects across the Highlands. The Assistant Ecologist will contribute to ecological surveys, fieldwork, reporting and ecological mitigation, with opportunities to develop experience across a broad range of protected species and habitats.
The Assistant Ecologist role will involve:
- Undertaking habitat and protected species surveys
- Supporting ecological impact assessments and reporting
- Assisting with ecological mitigation and monitoring
- Contributing to ECoW and construction-related ecological work
- Travelling across the Highlands and Islands, with occasional overnight stays

To be considered:
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience in ecology/environmental science
- Some practical ecology survey experience
- Good understanding of Scottish ecology and protected species
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Full right to work in the UK
- Living in or within a commutable distance of Inverness
