HV Commissioning Engineer Location: Nationwide / England Basic Salary: £72,000 Additional Earnings: Significant overtime potential Company Vehicle + Fuel Card | £40 Daily Allowance | £40 Overnight Spending Card A growing high voltage engineering business is looking for an experienced High Voltage Commissioning Engineer to join their team, working on HV infrastructure projects across England. This is a hands-on role covering the testing and commissioning of electrical systems up to 132kV, including substations, grid connections, renewable energy projects and industrial installations. The Package £72,000 basic salary Overtime paid at 1.5x after 8 hours Saturday overtime at 1.5x, increasing to 2x after 5 hours Sunday overtime paid at 2x Typical working pattern includes around 2 hours of overtime per day Company van and fuel provided £40 daily away/overnight allowance, paid through payroll Additional £40 per night spending allowance on a pre-loaded card Typical commissioning engineers can take home around £5,300+ per month, depending on overtime Essential Experience 3+ years' hands-on HV commissioning experience Proven commissioning experience up to 132kV Must already have SAP experience/authorisation - this is not a role for someone currently training to become an SAP Experience working across DNO, ICP, IDNO or private HV networks Strong knowledge of HV testing, protection, switchgear and commissioning procedures Comfortable working independently on site and managing commissioning activitiesThe work is carried out across England, so location is flexible for the right candidate.
