I am recruiting for a Principal Civil Engineer to join a leading consultancy based in Ringwood. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Principal Civil Engineer who wants real influence, technical ownership and the chance to shape projects and standards rather than being one of many in a large corporate structure. This Principal Civil Engineer role is anchored to the Ringwood office, working closely with a strong regional team while supporting major residential, commercial and mixed-use developments across the UK. Projects are client-led and national in nature, offering variety and technical challenge alongside a sensible hybrid working balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and review highways, drainage and external works designs
- Deliver S38, S278, S104 and S98 schemes through approval and construction
- Produce and review drainage strategies, SuDS and pumping station designs
- Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs and manage technical risk
- Liaise with clients, local authorities and contractors
- Mentor engineers and technicians and drive technical quality across teams
About You
- Degree or HNC qualified in Civil Engineering
- Strong experience delivering development infrastructure projects
- Confident using AutoCAD and MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage
- Chartered or clearly progressing toward professional accreditation
- Strong technical leadership and communication skills
