This opportunity is ideal for someone with approximately 12-24+ months' experience who is ready to take the next step in a role with genuine responsibility, professional development, and exposure to high-profile urban projects.

The Role

You will play a key part in producing transport inputs for a range of planning applications and urban development schemes. Your work will span technical analysis, written reporting, and collaboration with planners, designers, and clients.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Preparing Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, and Travel Plans
  • Undertaking trip generation and distribution analysis
  • Carrying out junction capacity modelling using software such as PICADY, ARCADY, and/or LINSIG
  • Assisting with the development of sustainable transport strategies
  • Supporting senior colleagues on project management, client engagement, and presentations
  • Conducting site visits and preparing supporting evidence for planning submissions

About You

We are looking for someone who brings both technical capability and curiosity about how people move through places. You should have:

  • Around 1-2+ years' experience in transport planning
  • Working knowledge of TRICS and standard junction modelling tools
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills
  • Experience preparing transport-related documents for planning applications
  • An interest in design-led, people-focused planning
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment

A relevant degree (e.g. Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering, or related field) is essential.

Why Join This Consultancy?

This is not a large corporate environment. You will join a close-knit team where junior planners have direct access to senior experts, early responsibility on live projects, and a culture that values professional development and creative thinking. The business offers:

  • Competitive salary and benefits
  • Clear progression pathways
  • Varied and high-profile London-based project work
  • Hybrid working and a supportive, collaborative office culture
