We are working on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded housebuilder with a strong presence across Kent and surrounding counties. With over 25 years of experience delivering high-quality, award-winning homes, they are committed to excellence in design, sustainability, and customer service. This is an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Planner or early-career Planner to join their growing Development Team at their head office in West Malling, Kent.
About the Role:
As a key part of the Development Team, you\’ll support the planning and delivery process from site identification through to securing planning permission and discharging planning conditions. Working closely with the Head of Planning and two experienced Senior Planning Managers, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain end-to-end planning experience within a supportive and high-performing team.
You\’ll be exposed to a wide range of projects across Kent and on the borders with Surrey, East Sussex, and London, working alongside land, design, and external consultants to drive planning success for residential developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the submission and management of planning applications in collaboration with internal teams and external consultants.
- Assist in the review of planning potential for land acquisitions.
- Work on the promotion of strategic sites through the Local Plan process.
- Manage the discharge of planning conditions and Section 106 obligations, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Coordinate with Local Planning Authorities, statutory consultees, and stakeholders to build strong relationships and smooth planning progression.
- Appoint and oversee planning-related consultants in line with agreed scopes and budgets.
- Contribute to the refinement of planning strategies and internal processes to improve efficiency.
- Act as a positive representative of the business, supporting its professional reputation and collaborative culture.
