An established building services consultancy is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing Manchester office. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious graduate to begin their engineering career with a firm dedicated to sustainable design, technical excellence, and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the design and specification of mechanical building systems in line with UK regulations and standards
- Supporting energy-efficient and low-carbon mechanical solutions from concept through to detailed design
- Creating technical drawings, models, and schematics using CAD and BIM software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit)
- Conducting thermal and energy calculations using design software (e.g. Hevacomp, IES, or similar)
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, electrical engineers, and sustainability consultants
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related subject
- A genuine interest in mechanical building systems and sustainable design
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Some exposure to CAD, Revit, or engineering simulation software is desirable (training provided)
