A specialist ground‑investigation company based in the Aberdeen area is looking for a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team. This company delivers a full range of geotechnical and geo‑environmental services across Scotland—from small residential sites to major commercial and civil‑engineering projects—supported by an in‑house laboratory and a fleet of modern drilling rigs.
The Graduate Geotechnical Engineer Role
You will play a key part in delivering site‑investigation projects, combining fieldwork, lab work, and office‑based reporting. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with planning and delivering intrusive ground investigations.
- Logging soil, rock and samples to industry standards.
- Supervising on‑site drilling operations and coordinating with drilling teams.
- Gathering and organising field data and supporting the production of factual reports.
- Taking part in monitoring, sampling and occasional post‑site visits.
The Graduate Geotechnical Engineer selected will be:
- Degree‑qualified in Geology, Earth Science, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Science or a similar discipline.
- In possession of a full UK driving licence.
- Living in or near to Aberdeen.
- Having a full right to work in the UK.
- Confident communicating with colleagues, drillers and clients.
