Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution and management of environmental projects in various sectors.
  • Conduct fieldwork, including environmental sampling, monitoring, and assessments.
  • Analyse qualitative and quantitative data to support research and decision-making processes.
  • Prepare technical reports, compliance documentation, and environmental impact assessments (EIAs).
  • Develop and implement GIS-based spatial analysis and mapping for environmental projects.
  • Support risk assessments and mitigation planning for environmental and sustainability issues.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project deliverables align with technical specifications.
  • Assist with environmental audits, inspections, and monitoring programmes.
  • Learn and apply industry-specific tools and software for environmental modelling and analysis.
  • Provide administrative and data management support, including data validation and maintenance of databases.
  • Adhere to local, national, and international environmental regulations and reporting standards.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, under supervision.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative sustainability solutions.

Required Qualifications/attributes:

  • A degree in Environmental Science / Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Advanced coursework or certifications (GIS, environmental risk assessment, etc.) are a plus.
  • Proficiency with technical tools, such as GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS), environmental monitoring instrumentation.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Technical writing skills with the ability to draft clear, concise, and comprehensive reports.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Located in or near Stoke on Trent.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Full right permanently to work in the UK.
