A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Transport Planner to join a respected and growing consultancy based in Bristol. Our client is seeking a motivated and analytical professional to support the delivery of a wide range of development planning and infrastructure projects across the UK. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work on diverse transport planning assignments that influence the success of major residential, commercial, and mixed-use schemes. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their technical skills and progress in a client-focused consultancy environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Preparing and assisting with the production of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans
- Supporting the appraisal of development sites and access strategies
- Undertaking junction modelling and capacity assessments (e.g., using ARCADY, PICADY)
- Using relevant datasets and software tools such as TRICS, TEMPro, and AutoCAD
- Engaging with clients, project teams, and local authorities to deliver high-quality planning outcomes
About You:
- Degree qualified in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related discipline
- Relevant years of experience in development transport planning preferred (but not essential)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A keen interest in sustainable transport, planning policy, and infrastructure delivery
- A proactive and organised approach with attention to detail
- Experience with transport modelling software desirable
