A new opportunity has become available for a Geoenvironmental Engineer to join a well-established ground engineering consultancy based in Gloucester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their technical knowledge while working on a wide range of contaminated land and ground investigation projects across the UK.

The successful Geoenvironmental Engineer will be involved in both site and office-based work, taking projects from initial site investigation through to factual and interpretative reporting. You will gain exposure to a variety of sectors including residential, commercial and infrastructure developments, working alongside an experienced and supportive team.

The role will include:

  • Supervising ground investigations and site works.
  • Soil and groundwater sampling.
  • Logging soils and rock to current standards.
  • Managing site contractors and health & safety.
  • Preparing factual and interpretative geoenvironmental reports.
  • Contaminated land and risk assessments.
  • Liaising with clients, contractors and regulators.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Earth Sciences or a related subject.
  • Previous experience within a geoenvironmental or contaminated land consultancy.
  • Experience supervising site investigations.
  • Strong report writing skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to develop professionally.
