A new opportunity has become available for a Geoenvironmental Engineer to join a well-established ground engineering consultancy based in Gloucester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their technical knowledge while working on a wide range of contaminated land and ground investigation projects across the UK.
The successful Geoenvironmental Engineer will be involved in both site and office-based work, taking projects from initial site investigation through to factual and interpretative reporting. You will gain exposure to a variety of sectors including residential, commercial and infrastructure developments, working alongside an experienced and supportive team.
The role will include:
- Supervising ground investigations and site works.
- Soil and groundwater sampling.
- Logging soils and rock to current standards.
- Managing site contractors and health & safety.
- Preparing factual and interpretative geoenvironmental reports.
- Contaminated land and risk assessments.
- Liaising with clients, contractors and regulators.
Requirements:
- A degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Earth Sciences or a related subject.
- Previous experience within a geoenvironmental or contaminated land consultancy.
- Experience supervising site investigations.
- Strong report writing skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to develop professionally.
