Geotechnical Testing Engineer Watford, Hertfordshire 30,000 - 35,000 The Opportunity A growing environmental laboratory service in Watford is looking to appoint a Geotechnical Testing Engineer to join its expanding laboratory and site investigation team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in soil and geotechnical testing who is looking to develop their career within a supportive business that offers clear progression into senior technician, laboratory management, or project engineering roles.
The Role You ll be involved in a range of laboratory and site-based geotechnical testing activities supporting residential, commercial, infrastructure, and redevelopment projects across the South East.
Typical duties include: Undertaking geotechnical laboratory testing on soils and aggregates.
Moisture content, Atterberg limits, compaction, CBR, particle size distribution, and other standard tests.
Recording and reporting test results accurately.
Assisting with site investigations and sampling when required.
Calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment.
Ensuring work is completed in line with relevant British Standards and company procedures.
Supporting senior engineers with technical reporting and data management.
