A specialist geotechnical consultancy based in Birmingham is looking to expand its close-knit technical team with the appointment of a Geotechnical Engineer. The Role
- Assisting with and supervising ground investigations
- Soil and rock logging to current industry standards
- Preparing factual and interpretative geotechnical reports
- Undertaking geotechnical analysis including foundations, retaining walls and slope stability
- Liaising directly with clients, contractors and subcontractors
- Supporting project delivery from tender stage through to completion
- Carrying out site visits and overseeing drilling operations
Requirements
- Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline
- Previous consultancy or ground investigation experience preferred
- Understanding of geotechnical principles and site investigation techniques
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
