My client, a specialist UK based Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Sustainability, Civil and Structural Engineering, is searching for a Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join an established team of Flood Risk and Drainage Engineers based in Central London.
It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline including a BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing:
- Flood Risk Assessments
- Surface Water Management Plans
- Surface Water Drainage Strategies
- SuDS Designs using Infodrainage or Flow
It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally and have experience completing river restoration, watercourse diversions or nutrient neutrality/pollution projects.
This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join a team of experienced Engineers to work on varied Flood Risk, Surface Water, and Drainage Projects, Aviation and Renewable Energy Projects for Private Sector Clients, Local Authorities and Housing Developers. You will also have the opportunity to complete river restoration, watercourse diversions, and flood alleviation works.
Applicants will also be supported to complete the following:
- Flood Risk Assessments for flood zones 1, 2 and 3
- Surface Water Management Plans
- Surface Water and Foul Drainage Strategy
- Flood Risk Mapping
- Detailed Residential Drainage and Sewerage Design using Flow and Microdrainage for residential, commercial, mixed use development and Airport Projects
- Drainage Area Planning
