The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Structural Technician to join our team. You will work closely with our structural engineers to produce accurate technical drawings and models for a variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities of this Structural Technician role
- Produce structural drawings and details using AutoCAD (and/or Revit where applicable)
- Assist engineers in developing structural design solutions
- Prepare general arrangement drawings, reinforcement details, and structural layouts
- Coordinate drawings with architects and other consultants
- Ensure drawings comply with relevant standards and project requirements
- Maintain drawing registers and document control where required
Requirements of this Structural Technician role
- Experience working as a Structural Technician within an engineering consultancy
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience is advantageous)
- Good understanding of structural detailing for steel, concrete, masonry, and timber
- Ability to interpret engineering sketches and calculations
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
Desirable
- HNC/HND in Civil or Structural Engineering (or similar)
- Experience on UK building projects and familiarity with UK standards
