We are seeking a driven and commercially minded Sales Manager to join a well-established environmental services business operating within the soil and waste management sector. This role is focused on delivering sustainable growth, developing long-term client relationships, and providing tailored technical solutions to customers across the region and beyond.
Working closely with internal technical, operational, and senior management teams, you will take ownership of a defined sales territory while contributing to wider business strategy and performance.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients and project partners.
- Assess incoming enquiries and issue accurate quotations within 24 hours in line with KPIs.
- Develop and deliver regional business plans and sales strategies aligned to company objectives.
- Support and contribute to marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives.
- Conduct client visits for soil sampling, site assessments, and sales meetings.
- Collaborate with technical teams to optimise solutions for hazardous and non-hazardous soil disposal.
- Promote value-added services including waste brokering and on-site contracting.
- Liaise with operations to ensure service delivery aligns with site capacity and customer needs.
- Maintain accurate records of pricing, sales activity, and reporting.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to support growth strategies.
- Strong knowledge of the environmental, waste, or soil services market within Yorkshire / North East.
- Proven business development and client management capability.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- Entrepreneurial, proactive, and results-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Committed to high standards of compliance, health & safety, and customer service.
