They are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Environmental Consultant to join their friendly and ambitious environmental planning team.

Requirements for Applicants:

  • Degree in environmental science or a related discipline
  • MSc in a relevant environmental field
  • Minimum 3+ years' professional experience (public or private sector)
  • Thorough knowledge of UK environmental assessment, planning, and nature conservation legislation and guidance
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality written reports suitable for public consultation
  • Membership/Chartership with IEMA or a similar professional institute
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organisational abilities
  • Strong numerical skills and proficiency in common software applications

Desired Experience:

  • Proficiency in GIS software, particularly ArcGIS
  • Experience working across multiple environmental disciplines
  • Experience in business development, including bid preparation and sales

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking site assessments
  • Contributing to the preparation of high-quality environmental assessment reports
  • Day-to-day client liaison
  • Working collaboratively with project team members
  • Attending client and stakeholder meetings
  • Providing technical guidance and support to junior team members
  • Supporting business development activities, including bid writing
