My client is a well-established Building Services Consultancy with a strong focus on sustainable design and energy efficiency that are seeking an experienced Intermediate Level IES Modeller to join their team in the South East/Kent region. This consultancy delivers a diverse range of M&E and building performance projects across the UK, collaborating closely with architects and clients to optimise building performance, energy use, and occupant comfort. This is an exciting opportunity for a local candidate to work on innovative projects across various sectors, including commercial, residential, and public sector developments.

Day‑to‑Day

  • Running thermal and energy models to assess building performance.
  • Preparing reports and documentation for Part L compliance and energy strategies.
  • Attending project meetings with architects, engineers, and clients to provide insights on energy efficiency and sustainability.
  • Reviewing project designs and providing recommendations to improve energy performance.
  • Staying updated on industry standards and regulations related to building performance and sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting dynamic thermal modelling using IES VE software.
  • Supporting Part L compliance, overheating analysis, and energy strategy development.
  • Collaborating with design teams to influence and optimise building performance.
  • Providing technical input on sustainability and low‑carbon design principles.
  • Working on a variety of projects across multiple sectors, ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications
