We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sustainability Consultant to join our client, a leading independent sustainability and engineering consultancy. Day-to-Day
Your typical day will involve:
- Conducting detailed energy and environmental modelling using IES VE software.
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, and clients to provide expert advice on sustainable design strategies.
- Preparing reports and documentation to support compliance with regulations and certifications.
- Attending project meetings to influence design decisions and ensure alignment with sustainability goals.
- Staying up-to-date with industry standards and best practices to deliver innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
As a Sustainability Consultant, you will:
- Utilise IES VE software to conduct advanced building performance modelling and analysis.
- Support the development of Net Zero Carbon and operational energy strategies in line with UKGBC, LETI, RIBA 2030, and local planning requirements.
- Assess projects for compliance with Part L, Part O, CIBSE TM52/59, EPCs, CIBSE TM54/NABERS, and Passive House accreditation.
- Provide modelling input to support relevant BREEAM credits.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance, performance, and best practices are integrated into design decisions from concept to delivery.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in physical sciences, or an engineering discipline such as physics, mechanical, electrical, building services engineering, environmental, or architectural engineering.
- 2-4 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of sustainable building design principles.
- Proficiency in IES VE software.
- A passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive change in the built environment.
