An established and highly regarded M&E Building Services consultancy is seeking a Senior Energy & Carbon Consultant to join their team in the Eastbourne area. Day-to-Day
Your typical day will involve:
- Collaborating with clients, architects, and project teams to deliver sustainable solutions.
- Conducting detailed energy and carbon assessments using industry-standard tools.
- Preparing technical reports and documentation for planning submissions.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in sustainability.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Energy & Carbon Consultant, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting overheating assessments to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Delivering Part L compliance assessments and providing expert advice on energy efficiency.
- Preparing and submitting planning applications with a focus on sustainability and energy performance.
- Utilising IES VE software for energy modelling and analysis.
- Performing Whole Life Carbon assessments using OneClick LCA to support sustainable design and decision-making.
- Mentoring junior team members, managing projects independently, and contributing to the growth and success of the consultancy.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:
- Proven experience in operational energy and Whole Life Carbon assessments.
- Strong technical expertise in sustainability, energy modelling, and carbon analysis.
- Proficiency in IES VE and OneClick LCA software.
- A solid understanding of Part L compliance, overheating assessments, and planning submissions.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently.
- A degree in a relevant field such as Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, or Building Services Engineering is preferred.
