Overview
We are looking for an experienced and committed Drainage Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of drainage systems, while also carrying out minor plumbing tasks where required. This is a varied and hands‑on position that requires strong technical ability, a proactive approach, and excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify faults within drainage systems, including light plumbing work as needed
- Carry out repairs, installations, and replacements of pipes, fixtures, and fittings
- Diagnose and clear blockages, ensuring systems operate effectively
- Perform planned maintenance and routine servicing of drainage and plumbing systems
- Provide professional advice and clear guidance to customers on drainage and plumbing issues
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and uphold health and safety standards at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Drainage Engineer and/or Plumbing Engineer
- Strong working knowledge of drainage systems, associated equipment, and general on‑site plumbing
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve drainage and plumbing issues efficiently
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across London and the South East
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm, plus one week per month on an on‑call rota (Monday to Sunday, 11:00am-7:00pm or until finish)
