Penguin Recruitment are representing a well-established and fast-growing sustainability consultancy within the built environment, who are seeking a Sustainability and Energy Consultant to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of UK commercial and residential projects, delivering energy and sustainability assessments while benefiting from flexible hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver BREEAM assessments across commercial, residential, education, and mixed-use developments.
- Undertake energy modelling using IES VE to support design optimisation and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and submit Part L compliance calculations and supporting documentation.
- Support the production of Energy Statements and sustainability reports for planning.
- Provide early-stage sustainability and energy advice to clients and design teams.
- Manage projects from concept through planning and post-construction stages.
- Review drawings, specifications, and technical information for compliance with UK Building Regulations.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and local authorities.
Requirements
- Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Design, or similar).
- 2-3 years' experience within a sustainability or energy consultancy.
- Strong experience delivering BREEAM assessments.
- Proficiency in IES VE and Part L compliance.
- Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations and planning policy.
- Excellent report-writing, communication, and project management skills.
