Duties for the role of Town Planner include:
- Providing planning advice to clients across a range of development sectors
- Undertaking planning appraisals and assessing the development potential of sites
- Preparing, coordinating and submitting planning applications and associated submissions
- Managing a varied caseload of projects, from smaller bespoke schemes through to larger and more complex developments
- Undertaking research into planning policy, legislation and relevant guidance
- Preparing planning statements, reports and other supporting documentation
- Liaising with local planning authorities, statutory consultees, consultants and other stakeholders
- Supporting negotiations with planning officers and other key stakeholders
- Assisting with planning appeals, hearings and other post-application matters where required
- Working closely with architects, landscape architects and other members
