An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant to join a growing environmental consultancy in London. You will support projects in property, renewable energy and aviation, preparing flood risk assessments, drainage strategies and SuDS led solutions at feasibility, planning and outline design stages.
As a Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant, you will help shape early strategy work, support design integration within site masterplans and contribute to planning submissions across a variety of consenting routes. You will work alongside experienced specialists across water, environmental assessment and planning, building your technical and project delivery skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies.
- Develop SuDS concepts and model drainage networks using InfoDrainage or similar tools.
- Contribute to feasibility studies, outline design and planning documentation.
- Liaise with clients, regulators and internal teams.
- Support the delivery of multiple live projects simultaneously.
- Produce clear, accurate and concise technical reports.
About You
- Two years' experience in flood risk or drainage work.
- Skilled user of InfoDrainage or comparable software.
- Understanding of SuDS, NPPF guidance and drainage design standards.
- Capable in AutoCAD and GIS.
- Strong report writing and communication abilities.
- Proactive, organised and committed to sustainable design.
