  • Support water balance and site-wide water management assessments for mining projects.
  • Produce technical reports, calculations and hydrological assessments.
  • Provide technical input into dam safety assessments and risk studies.
  • Assist with the assessment and design of spillways, diversion channels and flood protection measures.

  • Support the preparation of technical proposals and contribute to business development.

About You:

The successful candidate will have a degree in Hydrology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources or a related discipline, together with relevant consultancy experience.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Experience working in hydrology, flood risk, water resources or hydraulic modelling.
  • An interest in or experience of dams, tailings or mining-related projects.
  • Experience undertaking hydrological assessments and flood studies.
  • Knowledge of dam-break, breach or inundation modelling would be highly beneficial.
  • Experience with software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, TUFLOW, Flood Modeller or similar.
  • Strong GIS skills, ideally including ArcGIS or QGIS.
  • Understanding of rainfall-runoff modelling, flood estimation and catchment hydrology.
  • Strong technical report writing and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for project and site work.

Chartered status or progress towards CEng, C.WEM or an equivalent professional qualification would be advantageous.
