An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Engineering Geologist to join a growing team in Chester. Working across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, infrastructure, and industrial projects throughout the UK, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality ground investigations and providing technical geotechnical solutions.
The Role
- Involved in all stages of ground investigation projects, from planning and supervising site works through to factual reporting and client liaison.
- Supervising and logging boreholes, trial pits, and intrusive ground investigations.
- Soil and rock logging in accordance with current industry standards.
- Scheduling and managing laboratory testing programmes.
- Carrying out site monitoring and data collection.
- Preparing factual ground investigation reports.
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and project teams.
- Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with company procedures.
Requirements
- Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geoscience, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience within ground investigation or geotechnical consultancy.
- Strong understanding of soil and rock logging practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- A proactive and organised approach to project delivery.
