Are you an Engineering Geologist looking to take the next step in your career with a well-established ground investigation and geotechnical consultancy? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Engineering Geologist to join a growing team in Chester. Working across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, infrastructure, and industrial projects throughout the UK, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality ground investigations and providing technical geotechnical solutions.

The Role

  • Involved in all stages of ground investigation projects, from planning and supervising site works through to factual reporting and client liaison.
  • Supervising and logging boreholes, trial pits, and intrusive ground investigations.
  • Soil and rock logging in accordance with current industry standards.
  • Scheduling and managing laboratory testing programmes.
  • Carrying out site monitoring and data collection.
  • Preparing factual ground investigation reports.
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and project teams.
  • Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with company procedures.

Requirements

  • Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geoscience, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience within ground investigation or geotechnical consultancy.
  • Strong understanding of soil and rock logging practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • A proactive and organised approach to project delivery.
