An established and growing ground investigation consultancy is looking for a Senior Engineering Geologist to join their Cardiff team. This is a great opportunity for someone ready to take the next step into a project‑led, client‑facing role, while still staying hands‑on with site work and technical delivery.
The Role
- You'll play a key role in delivering a range of geotechnical and geoenvironmental projects across residential, commercial, and infrastructure sectors.
Responsibilities
- Managing ground investigation projects from start to finish
- Overseeing site works including drilling, trial pits, and logging
- Producing and reviewing factual and interpretative reports
- Mentoring junior staff and supporting their development
- Liaising directly with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
- Contributing to project planning and commercial delivery
Requirements
- Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or related discipline
- Strong background in ground investigation and site supervision
- Experience writing factual and interpretative reports
- Confident working independently and managing projects
- Working towards Chartership (or already Chartered)
- Full UK driving licence
