A well-established architectural practice in Cardiff is seeking an experienced Project Architect to join its growing team. Requirements

  • Qualified and ARB-registered Architect
  • Proven experience working within an architectural practice
  • Experience delivering projects through multiple RIBA stages
  • Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and planning processes
  • Proficiency in Revit
  • Strong technical, detailing and construction knowledge
  • Good design awareness and attention to detail
  • Confident coordinating consultants and wider project teams
  • Excellent organisational, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage projects, workloads and deadlines effectively
  • Confident working independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team

Key Responsibilities

  • Taking responsibility for the delivery of projects across multiple RIBA stages
  • Developing design proposals from concept through to detailed design
  • Producing and reviewing high-quality architectural and technical information
  • Leading the preparation of detailed drawing and specification packages
  • Coordinating Building Regulations, planning and statutory requirements
  • Managing and coordinating consultants, contractors and wider project teams
  • Attending client, consultant and project meetings
  • Communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders throughout project delivery
  • Monitoring project progress, quality and deadlines
  • Supporting the technical delivery and successful completion of projects
  • Contributing to the development of the practice and mentoring less experienced team members where appropriate
  • Working across a varied portfolio including residential, retail, industrial, leisure and veterinary schemes
