An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Geotechnical Engineer to join a specialist site investigation contractor and consultancy based in Cardiff. This role is ideal for a Geotechnical Engineer looking to work on technically challenging projects while gaining hands-on experience across both site and office-based work. You will be involved in a wide range of projects including infrastructure, commercial and environmental developments, working closely with geologists, environmental consultants and senior engineers throughout the full ground investigation process.
The successful Geotechnical Engineer will play a key role in the delivery of ground investigation projects, from initial design through to reporting and client liaison. The role will involve:
- Designing and supervising ground investigations
- Logging soils and overseeing site works
- Producing Phase 1 desk studies and interpretative reports
- Completing geotechnical risk assessments and validation reports
- Liaising with clients, contractors and internal project teams
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers where appropriate

Requirements
