A dynamic and sustainability-focused building services consultancy is seeking a Junior IES Modeller to join its Manchester team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for low-carbon design and building performance to kickstart their career using IES-VE and other advanced simulation tools. This role would be a good match for Graduate Consultants and Junior Consultants with up to 1-2 years of experience in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the development of IES-VE models for new and existing buildings
- Supporting dynamic thermal simulation, Part L compliance, overheating assessments (TM52/TM59), and daylight analysis
- Contributing to the design of energy-efficient, low-carbon buildings in line with UK regulations and sustainability targets
- Preparing clear, concise reports and communicating findings to internal design teams
- Collaborating with mechanical and electrical engineers, architects, and sustainability professionals to deliver integrated design solutions
Ideal Candidate:
- A degree (or equivalent experience) in Building Services Engineering, Environmental Design, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- A genuine interest in sustainable design, energy modelling, and building performance
- Familiarity with IES-VE
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Based in or near Manchester (or open to relocating), with the right to work in the UK
