An established environmental consultancy in Bristol is seeking an experienced Carbon Consultant to join its growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse client base, providing expert guidance on carbon management, compliance, and decarbonisation strategies.

Day-to-Day

Your typical day will involve:

  • Engaging with clients to understand their carbon management needs.
  • Conducting detailed assessments and preparing technical reports.
  • Collaborating with colleagues on multidisciplinary sustainability projects.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest regulations and best practices in carbon compliance and sustainability.
  • Presenting findings and actionable recommendations to clients.
Responsibilities

As a Carbon Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering technical expertise across carbon reporting, compliance, and sustainability projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reporting for clients.
  • Supporting ESOS compliance projects.
  • Advising clients on effective carbon reduction strategies.
  • Managing Carbon Credit and emissions reporting requirements.
  • Providing support for ETS compliance where required.
  • Producing detailed technical reports and presenting findings to clients.
  • Collaborating with sustainability and energy consultants on multidisciplinary projects.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reporting.
  • A strong understanding of ESOS assessments and compliance.
  • Expertise in carbon accounting and emissions reporting.
  • Knowledge of carbon reduction planning and strategies.
  • Familiarity with ETS compliance processes.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • A background in building services or environmental consultancy is highly desirable.
  • Additional knowledge of BREEAM, EPCs, SBEM modelling, or broader building sustainability practices would be advantageous but is not essential.
