Duties for the role of Associate Town Planner include:

  • Develop and implement planning strategies and policies to projects across the UK
  • Manage planning applications and appeals inline with local policies and legislations
  • Carry out site visits, feasibility studies, and impact assessments
  • Liaise with local communities, businesses and government agencies to build and maintain strong working relationships

Skills and experience for the role of Associate Town Planner:

  • Relevant degree within town planning
  • RTPI accredited or working towards chartership
  • Significant post qualification experience in a Planning role within a local government or consultancy
  • Working knowledge of the planning process and systems
  • Previous experience mentoring junior members of staff
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
