The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and delivering projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring all commercial, operational, quality, and health & safety objectives are achieved. Reporting directly to the Senior Leadership Team, this position offers the opportunity to play a key role in project delivery, client relationship management, team development, and wider business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects from inception through to successful completion
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
- Manage project risks, issues, and change control processes effectively
- Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders
- Prepare and review project documentation, reports, and presentations
- Identify and manage project variations and commercial opportunities
- Support business development activities, including preparing proposals and attending client meetings
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project teams and junior staff
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote best practice project management methodologies
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant industry regulations
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Business Management, or a related discipline
- Proven experience in a Senior Project Manager or similar leadership role
- Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and delivery frameworks
- Excellent commercial awareness and budget management experience
- Demonstrable experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities with a proactive approach
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software tools
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Full UK driving licence (where role requirements apply)
