Day-to-Day
- Assisting in the delivery of sustainability assessment frameworks, including BREEAM, WELL, NABERS, and Ska.
- Preparing planning and sustainability strategies.
- Contributing to whole-life carbon assessments, energy strategies, and environmental analysis.
- Gathering and reviewing project evidence for sustainability certifications.
- Preparing clear and accurate reports for internal teams and clients.
- Liaising with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Supporting senior consultants with project delivery and technical analysis.
- Staying informed on sustainability legislation, industry standards, and emerging technologies.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the delivery of sustainability assessments and certification schemes such as BREEAM, WELL, NABERS, and Ska.
- Assisting in the preparation of sustainability reports, presentations, and technical documentation.
- Contributing to energy, carbon, and environmental assessments under the guidance of senior team members.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams to integrate sustainability into building design.
- Attending client and project meetings to gain exposure to consultancy and project delivery processes.
- Conducting research on industry regulations, sustainability trends, and best practices.
- Supporting the development of Net Zero Carbon and sustainability strategies across various projects.
Qualifications
- A degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Building Services Engineering, Architecture, Geography, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A strong interest in sustainability and the built environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Desirable Experience:
- Placement year, internship, or work experience within sustainability, engineering, environmental consultancy, or the construction sector.
- Knowledge of sustainability assessment methods such as BREEAM, WELL, or LEED.
- Understanding of Net Zero Carbon, energy efficiency, or whole-life carbon principles.
- Familiarity with building performance, environmental modelling, or energy assessment tools.
