We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Sustainability Consultant to join our clients growing team in Bristol. Day-to-Day

  • Assisting in the delivery of sustainability assessment frameworks, including BREEAM, WELL, NABERS, and Ska.
  • Preparing planning and sustainability strategies.
  • Contributing to whole-life carbon assessments, energy strategies, and environmental analysis.
  • Gathering and reviewing project evidence for sustainability certifications.
  • Preparing clear and accurate reports for internal teams and clients.
  • Liaising with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Supporting senior consultants with project delivery and technical analysis.
  • Staying informed on sustainability legislation, industry standards, and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the delivery of sustainability assessments and certification schemes such as BREEAM, WELL, NABERS, and Ska.
  • Assisting in the preparation of sustainability reports, presentations, and technical documentation.
  • Contributing to energy, carbon, and environmental assessments under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams to integrate sustainability into building design.
  • Attending client and project meetings to gain exposure to consultancy and project delivery processes.
  • Conducting research on industry regulations, sustainability trends, and best practices.
  • Supporting the development of Net Zero Carbon and sustainability strategies across various projects.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Building Services Engineering, Architecture, Geography, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A strong interest in sustainability and the built environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.

Desirable Experience:

  • Placement year, internship, or work experience within sustainability, engineering, environmental consultancy, or the construction sector.
  • Knowledge of sustainability assessment methods such as BREEAM, WELL, or LEED.
  • Understanding of Net Zero Carbon, energy efficiency, or whole-life carbon principles.
  • Familiarity with building performance, environmental modelling, or energy assessment tools.
