As a Near Chartered Structural Engineer, you'll work across a varied portfolio of projects, getting involved from concept through to completion. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of designs, solve challenging engineering problems and work closely with clients, architects and other professionals. What you'll be doing Designing and delivering structural engineering solutions across a varied project portfolio. Working on projects from initial concept and feasibility through to detailed design and construction. Producing calculations, specifications, reports and technical documentation. Coordinating with architects, contractors, clients and fellow engineers. Reviewing designs and providing technical guidance to less experienced engineers. Taking increasing responsibility for projects, clients and technical delivery. Helping shape the continued growth and development of the structural engineering team. What we're looking for We're keen to hear from engineers who have a strong technical background and are ready for greater responsibility. Ideally, you'll have: A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Several years' relevant structural engineering consultancy experience. Strong experience in building structures. Excellent knowledge of structural design principles and relevant British Standards / Eurocodes. Experience with common structural materials including steel, concrete, masonry and timber. Strong communication and report-writing skills. Chartered Engineer status, or be very close to achieving chartership. The ambition to progress, lead and take ownership. Why consider it?
