An exciting opportunity has become available for a Geotechnical Design Engineer to join a well-established geotechnical consultancy in Basingstoke.
Working as part of an experienced technical team, you will be involved in delivering a wide range of residential, commercial and infrastructure projects across the South.
This is a design-focused role where you will be responsible for undertaking geotechnical analysis, producing design calculations and preparing technical reports.
You will also have the opportunity to contribute to site investigations and work closely with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
Responsibilities
- Producing geotechnical design calculations and technical reports.
- Carrying out foundation, retaining wall, slope stability and earthworks assessments.
- Interpreting ground investigation data and providing practical design recommendations.
- Supporting and managing ground investigation projects where required.
- Liaising with clients, contractors and design teams throughout project delivery.
- Ensuring work is completed in line with current standards and industry best practice.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related discipline.
- Experience within a geotechnical consultancy in a design-focused role.
- Working knowledge of geotechnical design principles and relevant design software.
- Strong report writing and communication skills. Full UK driving licence.
