The Role
- Lead and manage a range of geotechnical projects, with a particular focus on quarry environments, slope stability, and earthworks.
- Manage and deliver geotechnical projects across quarry and infrastructure sites.
- Conduct slope stability and geotechnical risk assessments.
- Design and oversee ground investigations.
- Produce factual and interpretative geotechnical reports.
- Provide technical advice to clients and project teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and support team growth.
- Support business development and maintain client relationships.
- Assist with quarry restoration and long‑term land stability projects.
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Consultancy experience within geotechnical engineering or quarry‑related projects.
- Strong understanding of slope stability, ground investigation, and geotechnical design.
- Experience managing projects and liaising directly with clients.
- Chartered status or working towards Chartership (ICE/GeolSoc equivalent).
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
