Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a leading independent consultancy specializing in planning and development services, with a strong track record in delivering major infrastructure projects across the UK. This dynamic Consultancy is now looking for an experienced Town Planner to join their Infrastructure Team and play a key role in large-scale projects, including nuclear power stations, renewable energy, airport expansions, and transport schemes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading DCO and TWAO projects from pre-application to Examination and determination.
  • Providing commercial advice on complex planning matters.
  • Managing internal and external project teams.
  • Mentoring junior colleagues and overseeing project deliverables.
  • Drafting reports, proposals, and fee submissions.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects and the DCO process.
  • Degree or higher in a relevant subject and RTPI/RICS accreditation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of UK planning law and commercial awareness.
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude and the ability to lead teams.
