A well-established environmental consultancy is looking to appoint an Associate Air Quality Consultant to rebuild and grow its in-house capability. With air quality and acoustics currently being outsourced, this is a rare opportunity for someone to take ownership, drive standards, and build a team from the ground up.
This hire will be central to bringing the Air Quality division in-house, starting from London and expanding into a long-term service line.
This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial consultant who wants the backing of a larger company while having real influence over growth, direction, and delivery.
The Opportunity
Based from London, you will take the lead in developing the air quality capability and delivering high-quality technical work for a varied client portfolio. The role has genuine progression and the chance to build a team around you.
Projects include:
- Wind farms
- Planning and development projects
- Housing schemes
- Battery energy storage (BESS)
- Employment and industrial facilities
If you have strong experience in Air Quality you will be supported to grow the function and shape how these services are delivered in London and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver air quality projects from inception to completion
- Improve quality, consistency, and technical standards across delivery
- Reduce reliance on outsourced work by bringing capability in-house
- Support business development and client growth opportunities
- Help build and mentor a team as workload increases
- Be a technical point of contact for internal stakeholders and external clients
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Proven in air quality consultancy
- Entrepreneurial and motivated by building something within a business
- Confident managing project delivery, client communication, and technical output
