We're partnering with a long-established, multi-disciplinary building services consultancy that is growing its London acoustics team. The business delivers specialist acoustic, noise and vibration advice on major UK developments and complex refurbishments, working closely with architects and design teams from concept through to completion.
They are now looking to appoint an Associate Acoustic Consultant to provide senior leadership within the team, oversee complex project delivery, and play a key role in shaping the future direction of the London acoustics offering.
The role
This is a leadership position combining technical authority, team management and client engagement. You will:
- Lead building and architectural acoustics across major projects
- Oversee environmental noise and vibration strategy and technical review
- Provide high-level input into M&E acoustics and mitigation design
- Direct monitoring programmes and quality assurance
- Review and sign off technical outputs
- Manage client relationships and support work-winning activity
- Collaborate with MEP, sustainability and structural teams
You will also mentor consultants, set technical standards, and help develop the long-term capability of the acoustics team.
About you
You will demonstrate:
- Extensive experience within acoustic consultancy
- Strong technical credibility and leadership capability
- Excellent knowledge of BS 4142, BS 8233, BB93 and ProPG
- Experience with CadnaA and/or SoundPLAN
- Confidence overseeing delivery and maintaining quality
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
Desirable experience
- IOA membership / Chartership progression
- Construction noise & vibration (Section 61)
- Business development or team growth involvement
