A respected and long-established ground investigation and geotechnical consultancy is seeking an ambitious Engineering Geologist to join its growing team in Wolverhampton. Working across a diverse range of development and infrastructure projects, this is an excellent opportunity for an Engineering Geologist looking to gain hands‑on experience within a specialist consultancy known for delivering high‑quality, pragmatic solutions throughout the UK.
The successful Engineering Geologist will support a variety of geotechnical and geoenvironmental investigations, working on projects from initial desk studies through to site works, testing, monitoring and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with ground investigations and site inspections
- Logging soil and rock samples and interpreting ground conditions
- Supporting geotechnical and geoenvironmental assessments
- Groundwater and ground gas monitoring
- Preparing factual and interpretive reports
- Liaising with clients, contractors and internal technical teams
- Supporting validation and verification activities where required

Requirements
- Degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline
- Previous site investigation, geotechnical or geoenvironmental experience preferred
- Strong communication and report‑writing skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Full right to work in the UK
- Must live in or near the Wolverhampton office
- Motivated, organised and keen to develop as an Engineering Geologist
