We're currently representing a progressive planning consultancy on the lookout for a talented Urban Planner to join their growing team in Manchester. This organisation is known for delivering creative, people-centred planning strategies and offers an exciting opportunity for someone who's ready to take their planning career to the next level.
You'll be joining a collaborative, ideas-driven environment where you're encouraged to think differently, act proactively, and make a real impact on the places and communities you help shape.
The Role:
- Carrying out planning policy research and initial site appraisals
- Preparing high-quality written planning advice and reports
- Managing smaller applications and supporting larger projects
- Coordinating with external consultants and internal design teams
- Producing planning updates, client briefings, and social media content
- Supporting the team's business development efforts and networking activity
What You'll Need:
- A Master's degree in Planning, Geography, or a similar field
- Around 2 years of practical experience in a planning or consultancy environment
- A strategic mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Comfortable taking initiative and working independently
- RTPI Associate membership (or working towards full accreditation)
- Adobe Creative Suite knowledge is a plus
- A UK driver's licence is beneficial but not essential
