An established and growing planning consultancy is looking to expand its team with the addition of a Town Planner or Senior Planner based in either Birmingham or Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven planning professional with previous experience in a planning consultancy or local authority setting. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting a diverse portfolio of projects across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage planning applications, pre-application enquiries, and appeals
- Draft and submit lawful development certificates
- Advise on planning strategy across a range of development types
- Work across various sectors including residential, retail, commercial, and mixed-use schemes
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality planning services
About You:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a planning consultancy or local planning authority
- RTPI-accredited degree (or equivalent)
- Working towards or already MRTPI qualified (for Planner level); MRTPI status preferred for Senior Planner
- Strong report writing, project management and communication skills
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently
