Job Description
Town Planner – Bristol
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting Tetlow King Planning, a respected planning consultancy with offices in Bristol and West Malling, in their search for a Town Planner to join their established team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated planner looking to work on a diverse range of projects, including residential, affordable housing, retirement living, regeneration, and mixed-use developments. The role will offer the chance to collaborate with a wide variety of clients – from housebuilders and housing associations to private landowners and local authorities.
The Role

Preparing, submitting, and managing planning applications and appeals

Carrying out planning appraisals and research to support clients and projects
-
Drafting planning statements, policy representations, and related reports
-
Attending client meetings, site visits, and hearings as required

Supporting senior colleagues in delivering high-quality planning advice and solutions
About You
-
RTPI accredited degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or related field

Ideally 1-3 years' post-graduate experience within planning (public or private sector)

Strong knowledge of the UK planning system

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

A proactive, team-oriented approach with a willingness to learn and progress
