A growing engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to support the delivery of water and wastewater non-infrastructure projects across the UK. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will lead civil design activities across multidisciplinary schemes, working closely with Directors, clients and wider engineering teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions.
The Senior Civil Engineer will take responsibility for design delivery from concept through to detailed design while supporting junior engineers and contributing to technical excellence across the business. This role suits someone who enjoys project leadership, technical problem solving and working within a flexible, supportive consultancy environment.
Key responsibilities- Lead civil design for water and wastewater treatment projects
- Produce calculations, technical reports and design specifications
- Design RC elements, foundations and associated civil works
- Review and check technical deliverables prepared by junior staff
- Coordinate with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams
- Undertake site visits, inspections and technical support activities
- Support tender submissions, project proposals and cost estimates
- Promote quality, safety and continuous improvement
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Around 5 years' experience within the UK water sector
- Strong technical understanding of water and wastewater design
- Experience with RC detailing and foundation design
- Good understanding of Eurocodes and UK Water Industry standards
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Chartered or working towards Chartership desirable
- Experience with Civil 3D or Revit desirable
