Are you a Principal Hydrogeologist looking for a role combining technical leadership, project responsibility and client management? This is an opportunity to join an established multidisciplinary consultancy in Stoke-on-Trent, leading hydrogeology and water environment projects across infrastructure, renewables, power, industrial and built environment sectors.
The Principal Hydrogeologist role will include:
- Leading hydrogeological assessments, investigations and monitoring programmes
- Preparing and reviewing EIA water chapters
- Water environment assessments, abstraction licensing and groundwater permitting
- Providing technical leadership, analysis and reporting
- Managing client relationships and supporting proposals
- Leading multidisciplinary project delivery
- Mentoring and developing scientists and hydrogeologists
The Principal Hydrogeologist should have:
- Substantial UK hydrogeology or water environment experience
- A degree in Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Geoscience or a related discipline
- Strong hydrogeological assessment and water monitoring experience
- Knowledge of UK water legislation and regulatory requirements
- Strong technical reporting, client and communication skills
- Chartered status or be working towards chartership
- A driving licence permitting you to drive in the UK
GIS, analysis or modelling software experience would be advantageous rather than essential.
The Principal Hydrogeologist position offers £60,000 - £70,000, hybrid and flexible working, professional development, pension, private medical insurance and discretionary bonus.
