A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a highly respected, international firm with expertise in Acoustic design within the Environmental, Architectural and Transport markets. This successful organization is looking to recruit a highly skilled Acoustic Consultant to complement a team of noise specialists in their office based in Southampton and contribute to a challenging range of projects in both public and private sectors.
Qualifications
- Preferably MSc/BSc in Acoustics/Noise and Vibration
- AMIOA
- Acoustic consultancy experience in the field of Environmental and/or Building Acoustics
- Technically competent and IT proficient
- Good communication and client liaison skills
- Extensive and detailed understanding of Environmental Acoustics
Duties
- Measurement surveys and reporting
- Advice on legislation
- Prediction and measurement of transportation noise
- Planning conditions - compliance and negotiation
- Noise Impact Assessments (including Environmental Impact Assessment)
- Liaise with consultants, engineers and architects
- Writing high quality reports
- Industrial and commercial noise control
- Consultation with Environmental Health Officers including advising on appropriate use of planning conditions
- Undertake noise assessment site visits all over the UK
